A smooth, wooden disk with lacquer finish supports 6 cut bamboo chimes of different lengths and diameters strung on black, rot-proof nylon line.

The chimes also have a protective lacquer coating.

The striker is a flat wooden disk with natural finish; the windcatcher is a vertical section of bamboo (not shown in main image - supporting line is quite long!).
