Calyx Spiral Wind Chime

The wonderful curling top of this wind chime is made out of a strip of coconut wood which has been shaped into a spiral, then lacquered to give it rigidity and protection against the weather.  It also highlights the rich red-browns and gold of the wood.

18 silver alloy chimes, which increase in length towards the bottom of the spiral, generate a soft tinkling sound as the whole thing twists and turns in the breeze.
