This pretty item is completely weather proof: the chimes are of an aluminium alloy and strung on rot-proof black nylon line. A shiny glass bead and an ameythst chip are threaded above the hardwood top, with a faceted bead and 2 more chips below to act as the striker. The windcatcher is smooth and shiny (very tactile) with a slightly convex surface on both sides.
