A round length of wood with black, turned ends features decorative scroll work on one side. Beneath it hangs a flat section of wood, also stained black, to which 15 hollow aluminium alloy chimes are attached. The chimes are all of the same diameter but vary in length; each one therefore produces a different tone.
Suspended on hemp twine with a hook at the top for hanging.
It's worth noting that this chime does tend to spin in high winds, but it doesn't necessarily make more noise. Might be best placed on a branch which would introduce the necessary movement to produce those pretty tinkling tones.
